I am a graduate of the University of South Carolina with an Educational Specialist's (Ed.S) degree in Couples, Marriage and Family Counseling. Upon completing this degree, I was employed as a school based counselor in a community mental health agency working with children and their families in Elementary, Middle, High and Alternative school settings.
I obtained my doctorate in philosophy (Ph. D.) at the University of Central Florida in Counselor Education. Since moving to Chattanooga, I have continued my clinical practice with adult patients with substance abuse, addiction and psychiatric issues in a psychiatric hospital. Additionally, I have been teaching at the graduate level for a local clinical mental health counselor education program for over a decade.
I am a professional member of the American Counseling Association (aca.org), the Association for Spirituality, Ethics and Religious Values in Counseling (ASERVIC.org) and the European- Based American Counseling Association (EB-ACA).
As a Licensed Professional Counselor, I enjoy working with troubled children, teens and adults. My expertise is in assisting them to identify problems and implement alternative solutions.
